BREEDING LIVESTOCK SALES
SHEEP
Breeding stock form a fundamental part of our livestock industry and therefore at Talgarth we conduct several catalogued breeding sales at key times throughout the year.
In the Spring we conduct periodical sales of ewes with lambs at foot (couples) which has always generated significant interest from local and non-local producers in a bid to increase their stock numbers or simply find replacements.
At Talgarth Livestock Market we also conduct several catalogued evening breeding sales through the autumn to include the sale of Breeding Ewes, Ewe Lambs and Breeding Rams. These sales have proved to be extremely popular in recent years and we expect to have a good entry of breeding stock once again this autumn. CATTLE
In conjuction with our monthly store sales, we also have a section for Breeding Cows, In Calvers, Cows & Calves and Breeding Bulls. These sales always generate considerable crowds of potential buyers and due to the number of suckler herds in the area we always have enquiries for breeding cattle. In recent years we have had several genuine dispersal and collective sales and should you require any professional and sound selling advice please contact our auctioneering team.
